St Helens (A) - Match Preview

The Tigers travel to The Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday evening to face St Helens in a Round 16 clash. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm.

The Tigers travel to The Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday evening to face St Helens in a Round 16 clash. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm.

 

Craig Lingard’s men have come close with the top teams in recent weeks however haven’t been able to get over the line. 

 

St Helens will be hoping to continue their form in 2024, fighting for a top spot once again, this is a must win for The Saints at home.

St Helens are coming off a defeat before the international break and will be looking to right all their wrongs. The Saints currently sit 2nd in Super League and are chasing Wigan Warriors for the top spot.

Ones to Watch

 

Jack Welsby

The youngster has cemented his position at the Saints and will look to continue to impress. Having been shortlisted for the man of steel for his second time in 2023 Welsby will be looking to add some more silverware to his collection. Welsby recently impressed at fullback for England against France, getting himself on the scoresheet.

Jonny Lomax

The Saints club captain Jonny Lomax pulls the strings with his excellent rugby brain and explosive speed. He is an England and Great Britain International and has been an essential member of the Saints side. 

 

Waqa Blake

The flying wingman was on the scoresheet multiple times last time out against the Fords and could possibly cause issues due to his pace and finishing ability in the corner.
