The Fords are on the road again as we travel to face local rivals Leeds Rhinos in Round 13 of the Super League, kick off is scheduled for 5:30pm.

Craig Lingard's Tigers are coming off the back of an impressive win at home against Hull FC, a much improved Tigers side are starting to gain confidence as the rounds go on.

Both sides will be hoping to take the 2 points in this weekends clash, the two have already faced off in 2024 with the Rhinos taking the points away at The Jungle.

Lingard on facing the Rhinos

"You look where the Rhinos are, and they're a couple of wins off the top four so they aren't doing too bad. As a team they'll be expecting a lot more with the standards they drive at Leeds."

"We'll be expecting a reaction from Leeds on the back of last weeks performance but we're more than prepared for that."

Opposition View

The Leeds Rhinos currently sit just outside the top six of Super League behind Salford as they look to finish in the playoff places. After a disappointing performance away from home last week, Leeds will be looking to react better and have a complete performance against the Tigers.

The Squads

Castleford Tigers: Luke Hooley, Sam Wood, Innes Senior, Jacob Miller, Liam Watts, Paul McShane, Elie El-Zakhem, Alex Mellor, Joe Westerman, Liam Horne, George Griffin, Rowan Milnes, Nixon Putt, Josh Hodson, Sam Hall, Sylvester Namo, Jason Qareqare, Cain Robb, George Hill, Tex Hoy, Corey Hall.

Key Battles

The two loose forwards go head to head on Saturday Evening in a battle which could go either way. Both captains will take the field and attempt to boss the middle of the park. With both players being from Castleford, it could be a cracker.

Senior Vs Handley

Innes Senior is in try scoring form, being in double figures, his try scoring ability has been quality for the Fords. He is in competition with Ash Handley of the Leeds Rhinos who is also scoring for fun for the Rhinos. Both wingers are a threat in the corner as well as being able to score from multiple distances.

Hall Vs Newman

Two young centres could take the field with Corey Hall and Newman being former team mates the clash could be even tastier. The Leeds strike player Harry Newman who represented England in 2023, is a big threat out wide as his pace and quality can change the game. It will be tough test for each side to stop these players.
