Castleford Tigers can confirm the signing of 21-year-old Corey Hall from Hull Kingston Rovers until the end of the 2024 season, in a deal that sees Jack Broadbent go the other way on loan.

As part of the deal, recent loanee Louis Senior will remain at The Jungle until the end of the 2024 season.

Recruitment news is brought to you by Clover Brickwork.

Corey Hall made his Super League Debut in 2020 for Leeds Rhinos before moving on loan for a three-game spell at York City Knights.

In 2022, Hall headed for Wakefield Trinity where he played 30 games, scoring 9 tries. After Wakefield, Hall moved over to Hull KR where he made 10 appearances for the Robins.

On concluding the deal, Director of Rugby Operations at Castleford Tigers, Danny Wilson said,

“Corey is a great player! He’s had loads of talent as a young kid and has proven it in Super league. He can be an exciting centre, so to add him to the squad in that position he can give us some strike and make our back 5 more exciting.”

The deal also sees Louis Senior’s loan extended to the end of the 2024 season something which Danny believes is the right fit for the Tigers at this moment in time.

“We say about a certain type player that we want to bring in at Cas, people that want to prove themselves in Super League and who are very athletic. He ticks all those boxes. The fans got a taste of what he could do at Wigan. His first appearance for us and he goes 80 metres. Very exciting to have him here and he’s got some competition with his brother and Qareqare on the way to being back fit again. We’ve got some fast players on our wings to score tries.”

As mentioned, the deal sees Jack Broadbent depart the Tigers in the opposite direction.

Since joining the club for the 2023 season, Broadbent has made 32 appearances for Cas, scoring 7 tries.

Broadbent played many positions during his time at Wheldon Road, moving around from the Centre spot, to Full back and even had a spell at Hooker.

On Broadbent’s departure, Danny Wilson went on to say,

“We wish Jack all the best in his future. He’s been a great addition to our squad over the last few years. He came in to prove himself in Super League. He’s established himself in the team at Cas and had some exciting moments. We would have loved to have kept him, but he sees his future elsewhere. We completely understand. Sometimes, people want a new challenge and for Jack in the stage of his career, he wants to pursue other opportunities. We wish him all the best. He goes with fond memories of The Jungle and we’ll keep an eye on his future.”

We would like to thank Jack for his contribution in a Tigers shirt and wish him the very best for the future.
