Friday night will mark the fourth time the two sides have met so far this campaign with the Airlie Birds coming out on top in both league games at The MKM Stadium and in the Challenge Cup clash at Wheldon Road.
Both teams are coming off defeats last weekend with Cas losing out to Warrington at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and the Black and Whites suffering a 28-12 home defeat to Leeds Rhinos.
There are a total of four alterations to the preliminary line up from the Wire fixture last week. Charbel Tasipale picked up a hamstring strain against Warrington and both George Lawler and Sam Hall will also miss out due to concussion protocol after being forced off with head knocks at The Halliwell Jones Stadium. Jacob Miller is the other absentee having received a one-match penalty notice due to being charged with a dangerous throw.
Cain Robb returns to the Cas pack after being recalled from his loan spell at Championship outfit Swinton Lions. Jack Broadbent and Nathan Massey are also in contention having recovered from injury setbacks. Liam Watts is back in the fold after serving a one-match suspension.
There are three potential milestones to keep an eye on this week. #ONECLUB man Nathan Massey could run out for the 300th time in Castleford colours in all competitions. Gareth Widdop and Alex Mellor are in line to make their 300th and 200th career appearances respectively.
