Castleford Tigers are delighted to welcome Nero Communications to our partner family.

Based in Ossett, Wakefield, Nero Communications is headed up by Jonathan Wood. They are a Telecoms Company that specialises in supplying businesses with Mobile Phones, Telephone Systems, Broadband, Leased Lines, Networking Solutions along with working with all the major Networks of O2, EE and Vodafone.

Nero Communications are supporting the Castleford Tigers Foundation through a unique Pound for Pound project which sees money from their new contracts donated back directly into the foundation as well as pledging their support to fund one of Castleford Tigers Foundation's projects: Let’s Communicate.

The Pound for Pound initiative sees Nero Communications working with businesses linked to Castleford Tigers and within the Castleford area on reducing their Telecoms costs and improving services whilst the Pound for Pound scheme generates revenue for the Castleford Tigers Foundation by matching their new Telecoms contracts and donating this back in the Castleford Tigers Foundation.

Let’s Communicate is an inter-generational project encouraging young people to interact with the elderly by empowering them with the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently utilise Mobile Phones, Tablets and Computers. This includes going through the process of creating an email account, using the internet safely and for online shopping.

Laura Kirk, Commercial Director at the club said “We’re pleased to welcome Jonathan and Nero Communications to the Castleford Tigers partner family. Their generous donation to the Foundation will enable the Let’s Communicate project to reach a wider audience and improve the lives of many in the area and the Pound for Pound Project will bring money into the foundation on a regular basis which helps us carry out our vital work in the community”.

Jonathan Wood, CEO of Nero Communications said “We’re pleased to be able to support the excellent work of the Foundation on this integral project. As technology continues to advance it’s more and more integrated in our everyday lives. For many seniors, the unfamiliarity of modern technology, coupled with a lack of perceived need or benefit gives them little desire to embrace this new way of communicating and engaging. The benefits of bringing in young people to educate the elderly community go far beyond the technological aspects, and we’re delighted to be part of this.”
