For the first time since 2019, the PDRL format of the game will return to Magic Weekend! The Cas Tigers PDRL side head to Kingston Park for two games. Their first kicks off at 10:30am against Leeds Rhinos on the first team pitch in a West Yorkshire Deby. Shortly after that they go on to face Wigan Warriors.

Fresh from their home festival just a couple of weeks ago, the Fords’ LDRL side are back in action at the Magic Weekend. They kick off their weekend at Kingston Park, the home of Newcastle Thunder, with a round robin festival. After the festival, the team will make their way to St James’ Park, take in the atmosphere and at half time of the First team game, they will take to the field and showcase the fantastic game, and inclusivity of the sport in front of thousands of people, including the travelling Cas fans.

It will be an experience to remember for the team, led by coach Anthony Summerfield and we hope any attending Tigers fans can remain in their seats at the interval and cheer on our very own LDRL squad.

Saturday 3rd June – First Team vs Leeds Rhinos - 6pm

The festival of rugby league returns to St James’ Park in Newcastle with the Tigers facing local Rivals Leeds Rhinos. The all-west Yorkshire clash will be the final game on Saturday 3rd June, kicking off at 6pm.

The Fords face Leeds at the Magic Weekend once again, and hope to get the result that they didn’t get at last year’s edition of the weekend. Having already beaten Leeds this season at Wheldon Road, the lads will take confidence from that and aim to get their second victory over their rivals of the campaign.

Cas will be wearing their special Magic Weekend Kit dedicated to Tigers legend, Tawera Nikau.
