Castleford Tigers can announce that Daniel Smith’s initial loan move to Championship side Featherstone Rovers has been made permanent with immediate effect.
The 30-year-old joined his hometown club ahead of the 2019 season after spells with the likes of Wakefield and Huddersfield earlier in his career and has since gone on to represent the Tigers on 75 occasions.
Smith scored five times for the Fords in total, which included a vital try against Salford in the 2021 Betfred Challenge Cup quarter-finals on Cas’ journey to Wembley that year.
Everyone involved with the Tigers would like to thank Daniel for his commitment to the Club over the past five years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
