Fords squad for Wigan announced

Castleford Tigers Head Coach Lee Radford has selected a 21-man Fords squad to take on Wigan Warriors at The Jungle on Friday night!

The Cas pack will have their sights firmly set on a response after a disappointing result in their opening home game of the campaign where St Helens punished the hosts for not taking their chances in the first 40 to claim a 24-6 victory.

Wigan shook off an opening day defeat at Hull KR to put Wakefield Trinity to the sword last time out by romping to an emphatic 60-0 win at The DW Stadium.

Matt Peet secured the signings of Jake Wardle, and Toby King, as well as former Cas man Ryan Hampshire during the off-season. However, the Warriors’ best bit of business during the break was probably being able to keep hold of star players Jai Field and Bevan French.

Radford has decided to make three changes to the squad chosen ahead of the Saints contest with Alex Sutcliffe, along with Suaia Matagi and Daniel Smith who are back in the fold after getting vital minutes in the legs recently at Halifax Panthers, coming into the fold.

Club captain Paul McShane is also in line to reach a landmark achievement by running out for his 200th appearance in all competitions for the Tigers on Friday night.
