Up Next - Whitehaven (A)

Next up for the Tigers is a trip across to Cumbria to face Whitehaven at the LEL Arena! The game will take place on Sunday 29th January, with kick off scheduled for 3pm. 

Sunday’s fixture could see two Castleford youngsters return to face the team they gained valuable experience at on loan. 

Product of the Tigers’ academy system Cain Robb spent some time with Whitehaven in 2022 on loan, featuring in 7 games for Haven, while new signing Jacob Hookem also featured in white for the Cumbrian outfit. Hookem played in 6 games for this weekend’s opponents having moved on loan from Hull FC in 2022, the same time as now permanent team mate Cain Robb. 

Another Tiger who would have been in contention to feature would’ve been Kieran Hudson, who recently picked up an Achilles injury, ruling him out for some time. Kieran made 16 appearances in Chocolate, Blue and Gold scoring one try.
