In 2023, AJ Glassfibre will go into their fifteenth year as a sponsor of Castleford Tigers in another tremendous show of loyalty to their local Super League club!

AJ Glassfibre was founded in 1999 by Andrew Mallinson and John Irving who have over 80 years of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of GRP components.

Members of the Fords faithful have come to recognise AJ Glassfibre from the top of the right sleeve on our playing and replica kits since 2014, but they have been kit partners with the Tigers since 2010.

Furthermore, AJ Glassfibre are proud to be the long-term player sponsor of #ONECLUB man Adam Milner, and last month also sponsored the Players’ Player of the Year Award at our End of Season Awards Evening.

Based on Carr Wood Road in Castleford, the local custom moulders business offers a full design service from concept through to models, tools, and full manufacture. AJ Glassfibre supplies a wide range of components to a varied range of businesses such as commercial vehicle, construction, general engineering, leisure, airport, and utility industries to name but a few.

Managing Director of AJ Glassfibre, Andrew Mallinson spoke to castlefordtigers.com about the news and said: “AJ Glassfibre are delighted to continue our sponsorship with Castleford Tigers for the 2023 season. Under the guidance of Head Coach Lee Radford, the squad has gelled nicely, we have high expectations of a successful season next year.”

Michael Kilby-Scott, Business Development Manager at Castleford Tigers shared the club’s delight saying: “Although I’m relatively new to the Tigers family, it’s easy to see the amount of passion that Andy, his family and their team at AJ Glassfibre share with our Club. It is always good to share positive stories like this, especially when they show a real commitment to a local team like Castleford. Local, but with a national footprint.”
