Cas Roots: Celebrating our community

Our final home game of the regular Betfred Super League season is coming up, and we're celebrating our local community clubs and ALL of our Tiger teams!

Castleford Tigers will take on Salford Red Devils on August Bank Holiday Monday (29th August) with kickoff scheduled for 3.30pm.

The fight for the playoff places is going to do right down to the wire and as the Fords' final home game we need Wheldon Road to be a fortress!

We are inviting our highly valued community clubs to bring their Under 12 teams for FREE to The Mend-A-Hose Jungle for the fixture and be part of a celebration of the incredible rugby league work done across the district.

Ahead of the game, we will look to capture a very special ‘Cas Roots Community Club’ photo with ALL our local teams together on the pitch!

On Game Day - We advise getting e-tickets online at castlefordtigers.com/tickets - this is the easiest way to get your tickets and enter the ground on match day.

To purchase tickets at the gate, please head to the side of the training pitch and go to turnstiles 17 & 18 where both cash and card will be accepted. Turnstiles 17 & 18 will be the ONLY places that supporters can purchase match tickets at the gate.

Ticket Collection - Our Game Day Ticket Office will be open from 4.30pm for fans to pick up their tickets. This is located at the side of the training pitch.

ENTRY INFORMATION

Tigers Members and advance ticket holders can enter via any entrance point around the ground, with the stadium open fully from 2pm onwards for this fixture.

Grassroots rugby and youth development are vitally important, and our 'Cas Roots' initiative will be built upon highlighting the wonderful work that is done at the local community level and at our club. 

Throughout the year Castleford Tigers Foundation have highlighted some of our local community clubs with our 'Under the Lights' features, demonstrating their valuable work. On matchdays too at The Jungle, we have hosted minis and juniors festivals, giving young girls and boys the chance to play where their heroes play - and maybe where one day they will shine as a professional too.

Castleford Tigers' Youth Department has an expansive pathway for not only nurturing and improving rugby talent but also education provisions from the age of 11 all the way through to the university level. Our Academy/Reserves, Scholarship and Women's players can all benefit.

Social inclusion in rugby league is only getting bigger and better, our LDRL side featured at Magic Weekend on the St James' Park pitch, and the PDRL side has recorded a remarkable season. More people than ever before can wear our colours and be Tigers players.

As our first 'Cas Roots' event, we are thanking our partner community clubs and all our Tigers teams for their efforts in the 2022 season.
