Lee Radford has named his 20-man Castleford Tigers squad for Friday night’s Betfred Super League match against local neighbours Wakefield Trinity, with the Adam Watene Trophy on the line!

Castleford’s squad news is proudly sponsored and brought to you by GeoShield.

The Tigers have a firm grip on fifth place in the league table with a four-point cushion over sixth after an emphatic away day victory last Friday night away at Hull FC.

Round 21 fixture offers an opportunity for Castleford to lay down a marker of intent and push for a top-four spot by getting a third win in a row, and if the Fords do that, they will stretch an incredible winning streak over Wakefield to eighteen games in a row.

Radford will be without Gareth O’Brien and Alex Mellor following concussion protocols due to head knocks which the two picked up at the MKM Stadium, and Sam Hall also steps out of the squad that was declared last week.

Liam Watts is available for selection after serving a two-match suspension, and for the first time, Kieran Hudson has been named in a Tigers’ Super League squad declaration which could lead to him making his top-flight debut. The 22-year-old joined Castleford in February and linked back up immediately with Betfred Championship club Whitehaven on loan for the season.

Friday Night Fever is the theme for this match at The Jungle, with the music and entertainment around the ground being all about dance and disco! So get your weekend started excitingly with a trip to Wheldon Road!

The Tigers only have three home matches left, and with the playoffs race heating up WE NEED YOU!
