It’s an incredibly busy period for the Tigers’ various squads with four teams all playing home matches at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle over the coming days. All the dates and information you need are below!
SCHOLARSHIP – VS HULL FC (H) – WEDNESDAY 13TH JULY 2022
The Fords’ young scholars will be eager to get back to winning ways after defeat last time out at Huddersfield Giants despite a solid performance.
Jack Moxon and Jenson Windley were the scorers on that occasion, and they will be keen to put on a show in front of a home crowd so make sure to get down to Wheldon Road and cheer them on for a 7pm kick-off!
Tigers Members get entry to this fixture for FREE as do Under 16's, otherwise, it is just £5 entry. Car parking is available at the stadium too priced at just £2.
FIRST TEAM – VS WARRINGTON WOLVES (H) – SATURDAY 16TH JULY 2022
Castleford’s First Team will also be looking to put things right after a frustrating loss to Leeds Rhinos at Magic Weekend on Saturday.
The fixture will also mark former Head Coach Daryl Powell’s first game back at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle after departing to Wire for this season.
It’s building up to be another blockbuster between two sides who are desperate to make the top six by the end of the regular season!
Tickets for the game are still available to purchase at ctrlfc.com/tickets
ACADEMY – VS WARRINGTON WOLVES (H) – SATURDAY 16TH JULY 2022
Saturday will be our first double header of 2022 with Cas’ Academy side taking on Warrington at The Jungle following the conclusion of the Tigers’ First Team game, kick-off 6pm.
Cas’ youngsters ran riot during their last outing with a 58-10 victory over Newcastle Thunder away from home so make sure to stay down at the ground for a double helping of rugby league and support our Academy boys!
WOMEN – VS BRADFORD BULLS (H) – SUNDAY 17TH JULY 2022
The Tigresses return to Wheldon Road for the first time in the league this year with Matty Faulkner’s pack keen to build on what was an admirable display against Wakefield in their previous fixture.
Cas’ Women found themselves 8-0 down at the break at the Be Well Support Stadium but a heroic defensive effort in the second half kept Trinity at bay before Kaitlin Varley crossed in the final ten minutes to give the Fords a shot at victory. Despite having chances to score, the Tigresses couldn’t quite land the decisive blow but despite the result, they will take heart from their performance.
Don’t forget that 2022 Members can get access to the fixture for FREE! Under 16’s also gain entry free of charge and for everyone else it is just £5. Car parking is available at the stadium too priced at just £2.
