Castleford Tigers Foundation are excited to be hosting the third Physical Disability Super League Festival of 2022 at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle this weekend!

Our PDRL warriors have represented the Club with an enormous amount of pride and passion during the first two festivals of the year at Wakefield and Warrington and it will be fantastic to see them return to home turf for the first time since 2019.

There will be six teams competing at the PDRL Festival with Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Trinity, Wigan Warriors, and newcomers Bradford Bulls all being represented alongside the Fords side on Saturday.

Each of the teams will play two fixtures on the day – and with a number of other Festivals arranged through the summer, by the end of the season each of the six teams will have played the other five twice, culminating in a Finals Day Festival.

It has been amazing to see the Tigers PDRL team back in action in 2022 after such a long layoff due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and Cas player Michael Parker spoke of how overjoyed he has been to get back playing the sport he loves this year.

“It’s great to get out onto the field and help those people that are less fortunate to not be able to play the game and get them back into the running’s and surroundings of the game again.”

“It’s been great to get the festivals back up and running considering how long it has been since we have been able to play. I think most people have welcomed that really well.”

The action at Wheldon Road gets underway at around 10:15am on Saturday morning and we urge everyone to come down to watch and support our inspirational PDRL team!
