It is game week at The Jungle!

A massive week ahead for Castleford Tigers who embark on their 2022 campaign with a new man in charge in Lee Radford, eight fresh new signings, a brand new matchday experience at The Jungle and so much more!

Standing in the Fords’ way on Friday will be a Salford Red Devils who too have freshened their coaching staff up with the appointment of Paul Rowley as the new Head Coach. The former Leigh Centurions player was assigned in November last year and his previous managerial record will be something that may excite the Salford supporters.

Rowley led Leigh to two Championship titles during his tenure but coaching in the Betfred Super League will be a new challenge for him. Right-hand man and Assistant Coach Danny Orr is all too familiar about the competition ahead and the Red Devils’ first opponents.

Salford have made additions to their squad including Brodie Croft, Ryan Brierley, and fo player Marc Sneyd who all look promising names to the side who finished below their expectations last season in eleventh place. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the Red Devils in 2021 as winger Ken Sio claimed the Betfred Super League’s top try-scorer and arguably had his best season in Salford colours. The Aussie went over 19 times in 19 appearances and will be hoping to add to his prolific record last campaign.

Heading up our brand new matchday experience, the Club can reveal we have created an exciting new Fan Zone behind the Main Stand which will feature:

• The ‘Molson Coors Stage’ where entertainment will perform both before and after the game
• A new resident DJ will get fans ready for the game and host a post-match disco and karaoke
• The ‘Doom Bar Real Ale Bar’ – our real ale bar has been doubled in size in the off-season and will feature a number of guest beers
• A brand-new gin, wine, and prosecco bar
• Plus, new street food vendors as part of a ‘Street Kitchen’ alongside other exciting food options!
