Cas squad named for Rivals Round

Daryl Powell has named his 21-man squad for Saturday night’s Rivals Round encounter against Wakefield Trinity, kicking off at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle at 7pm.

Just two changes are made from the squad declaration that was posted for the win last week against St Helens, with Alex Foster and Jason Qareqare coming in for James Clare and Lewis Bienek.

This Betfred Super League Round 20 match will serve as the main event of a Derby Day Double Header at Wheldon Road, with Castleford Tigers Women beginning their Betfred Women’s Super League play-off push against Leeds Rhinos Women at 4.15pm. More details about that fixture can be found HERE.

With back-to-back wins away over St Helens and Leeds Rhinos, Powell’s men will be aiming for a third win in a row and to continue their push into the play-off positions.

Furthermore, Castleford will be keen to maintain their recent run of victories over neighbouring Wakefield and make it sixteen straight derby wins over one of our nearest and dearest.
