Tigers team up with Yorkshire Craft Beers

Based in the historic Queens Mill in Castleford, their unique shop has the finest brews from around Yorkshire with dozens of white rose county breweries all under one roof.

Yorkshire Craft Beers will sponsor the Tigers from now until the end of the 2021 season and to celebrate, they allowed Fords fans to give their beer name suggestions for two unique Castleford Tigers’ beers! The two winning choices were: Wheldon Road Lager and Classy Cask APA, the winners will be contacted directly and will receive a gift cube signed by the First Team after the 13th November.

The beers will be available on pre-order before going on general sale on the 13th November, for every beer that is sold, a donation will be made back into the club!

Speaking about this new sponsorship, Head of Commercial Partnerships Craig Jeffels said:

“I would like to welcome Yorkshire Craft Beers to Castleford Tigers after committing to financially support the club, as well as offering to donate a percentage of the proceeds back to us. It is very important for us to work with local businesses and local brands, and I would urge all our fans and followers to buy local wherever possible, even more so through these uncertain times.

 “As a club at the heart of its community, we are constantly looking to link up with local companies to ensure they too become deep-rooted within Castleford and within our community. It has been an exciting project assisting James (owner) getting the beers to this stage, which has also engaged some of our fans and followers in the naming process. Hopefully, this will be a resounding success and we can work on further projects in the future! I will personally be purchasing some of these gift boxes as Christmas presents as they are a great stocking filler!”

James Knowles from Yorkshire Craft Beers spoke about his delight at partnering up with the Tigers saying: “Yorkshire Craft Beers is incredibly proud to have teamed up with Castleford Tigers to bring you these unique beer gift cubes to celebrate the continuing success of our local rugby league club, and for every beer sold we look forward to making a donation to the club.”

PRIZE DRAW

Another prize is also up for grabs too from Yorkshire Craft Beers, for every gift cube purchased of the new Castleford Tigers beer, that customer will be entered into a prize draw to win a 2021 Castleford Tigers replica shirt, signed by the First Team. It will be drawn on the 19th December and the winner will be contacted directly.
