First Team players James Clare, Greg Eden, Tyla Hepi, Jacques O’Neill and Calum Turner have been named in the squad which is predominantly made up of young Tigers from the club’s Academy. 16-year-old Cain Robb who featured in the Boxing Day match against Bradford Bulls has been selected once again, whilst 17-year-olds Louis Collinson, Bailey Hodgson and Caelum Jordan could get their first chances to play in the Tigers First Team.

2020 recruit Tyla Hepi is looking to impress in the pre-season fixtures and stake a claim for a starting spot in Super League; “I’ve got to be pushing for my spot, hopefully I bring something different to this team. The friendlies are great because I have to make a statement to put myself in the shop window, I need to be on form and playing the best I can.“

Amongst the Cas ranks at the Halton Stadium will be two players from Keighley Cougars, Dan Hawksworth & Dan Parker, as part of the club’s dual registration agreement with the League One side.

Tickets will be available on the gate this Sunday for Tigers fans cheering on the boys in their pre-season friendly against Widnes. Tigers fans will be in the North Stand unreserved seating for the game and entry will be available via cash turnstiles on the stand. Alternatively, fans wishing to pay via card will be able to buy their tickets from the Halton Stadium ticket office in the South Stand before entering through the North Stand turnstiles.

*Please note, there is no mechanism to purchase your tickets in advance via the Tigers for this match and supporters are therefore advised to give themselves plenty of time to enter the stadium on the day, with turnstiles opening at 1.30pm.
