2021 is Season 6 of 'The Trueman Show'. A young, eye-catching half-back who signed for the Tigers back in 2017, Trueman was hindered by a back injury in last year’s campaign but looks fully fit and back to his best for Castleford’s new era in 2022.

Jake started as an Academy product of Bradford Bulls where he signed his first professional contract at the age of 16. After one appearance at the Bulls, Castleford showed interest and signed Trueman on a two-year deal. His second start in black and amber was marked with a hat-trick of tries against Wigan Warriors and he was quickly labeled as one of the most highly promising halves in England. Trueman went on to win the Super League Young Player of the Year in 2018 as well as various accolades for in the Club's awards evening.

Jake was selected in the England 9s squad for the 2019 Rugby League World Cup 9s making three appearances and reaching the semi-finals. Trueman was also part of the touring squad for the Great Britain Lions tour in the same year.

Pre-season has seen Trueman take a step up in his recovery programme and work towards being back to his best. Since his return, the #6 has been impressive with Kenny Edwards down the left side of the field; a partnership that should whet the appetite of supporters.
