Luke Gale joined Castleford Tigers in 2015 form Bradford Bulls to replace the outgoing Marc Sneyd. Gale is a former Doncaster, Harlequins and Bradford man, and it was at Odsal where he really made his name. Despite the club's demise, he excelled behind a weak forward pack, and scored 14 tries in 29 appearances in his final year with the club. Since joining the Tigers the 29-year-old has just continued to improve. After winning his third consecutive Albert Goldthorpe Medal (2015, 2016, 2017), he went on to win the Steve Prescott Man of Steel in 2017 and then help England reach the 2017 Rugby League World Cup Final as they narrowly lost to Australia. Tigers fans will be pleased to have the influential half under contract until at least the end of the 2021 season.
