Tigers do battle in honour of Adam Watene

Castleford Tigers will clash with Wakefield Trinity this Friday for the Adam Watene Trophy!

The annual match will see the Tigers defend the trophy they claimed in a thrilling Easter clash last season when they once again welcome Wakefield to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Friday, 21st February, kick-off 7.45pm.

Adam was a popular player for both clubs during his career but tragically passed away in 2008 after collapsing during a weight training session. Since then, the two West Yorkshire rivals have fought for the specially commissioned Adam Watene Trophy each season in his honour, with the Tigers having the upper hand in recent matches against their local rivals when the trophy and the #BraggingRights have been on the line.

Tickets for this Friday’s match are on sale now at the Tigers Den in Carlton Lanes and the Castleford Tigers Sports Super Store in Xscape Yorkshire, as well as online at www.castlefordtigers.com/tickets

As well as the option of buying a ticket online and either collecting on the day or paying for delivery, fans can now take advantage of the new e-ticket at the checkout.

Simply select this choice from the drop-down menu and you’ll be provided with a unique QR code. Either print this at home or scan on your phone at the turnstiles on matchday.
