We’re celebrating one year of the RFL Community Trust during the Week of Social Impact 2025

Here at Castleford Tigers Foundation we are pleased to celebrate one year of the RFL Community Trust’s public launch. The RFL Community Trust is dedicated to celebrating and furthering the sport’s social impact mission by collaborating with the sport’s charitable foundation network, striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of people in our community and beyond.

Rugby League is far more than just a sport; it has an outstanding community that surrounds it and key part of our commitment to our Rugby League family is our social impact mission. We strive to help tackle inequalities, achieve social justice and social cohesion.

Our most recent social impact initiatives include Man V Fat Rugby in Castleford supporting Men to be more active and lose weight, an Over 60’s Dance and Walking Rugby programme in Airedale reintroducing older people back into exercise and the launch of Offload the pioneering Mental Fitness programme developed by Rugby League Cares.

During The Week of Social Impact 2025, we are excited to join our The RFL and The RFL Community Trust once again in spotlighting the incredible work that’s ongoing within our communities and celebrate all that has been achieved so far. Specifically, this year's Week of Social Impact is focused on “Building a Better Future”.

Friday 24^th October – Week of Social Impact reflection and key engagement figures for the year

Join us and get involved, whether by participating in local events, sharing your own Rugby League stories, or simply spreading the word about the incredible work being done in your community. The Week of Social Impact is more than just a series of events it’s a call to action. It’s a reminder that each of us has a role to play in fostering a community that cares, supports, and uplifts one another.
