Super League status confirmed

Castleford Tigers’ status as a Super League club is set to be confirmed following the submission of our IMG results for the 2025 season.
Our score of 15 and Grade A in 2024 has dropped to 14.6 and Grade B in 2025, which is disappointing; however, the metrics for 2026 are already pointing towards a score of 16 and above.
The Club was expected to lose points year-on-year on social media engagement results (0.2) due to a period during the season when there was a limited media team in place. We also knew that we would lose a further 0.5 points due to a drop in attendances following a poor year on the field, which saw us finish below the expected league position — a metric that also cost us points.
Next year, we know that the percentage of non-centralised turnover will increase (0.45 points), owner investment will increase (0.25 points), and we will have a new media team in place to drive engagement up. With a rise in attendances and a better performance on the pitch, we believe our 2026 score can easily rise above 16 and return us to a Grade A rating.
CEO Danny Wilson said:
“We have to put 2025 behind us. We remain in Super League for our Centenary year, and we know that something exciting is building here at Cas Tigers. We have a new coach, lots of new signings, and a huge level of improvements being made around the stadium.
Our membership numbers are tracking way ahead of last season already, and we are confident that we can have a memorable season, which will automatically drive our IMG score up. We want to thank the fans for their continued support — let’s look ahead to the future together.”
