Castleford Tigers are offering an exciting opportunity to join the club as Head of Performance, with a focus on strength & conditioning and sports science.

Based at the OneBore Stadium, Wheldon Road, Castleford, this full-time role (weekends required) is perfect for someone with experience in elite sport who is ready to drive standards and innovation in player performance.

About the Role

 The successful candidate will:

• Lead the strength & conditioning programme for the men’s first team.

• Deliver periodised programmes covering strength, speed, agility, and conditioning.

• Monitor and analyse player performance data, using the latest sports science technology.

• Work closely with coaches, medical staff, and nutrition partners to maximise player performance and reduce injury risk.

• Support matchday preparation and recovery programmes.

     What We’re Looking For

• BSc/MSc in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, or related field.

• UKSCA qualification (essential).

• At least two years’ post-graduate experience in a professional sporting environment.

• Strong knowledge of elite Rugby League demands.

• Organised, innovative, and passionate about performance and player development.
