Jenson Windley signs Five-Year Deal

Tigers Secure Future of Jenson Windley with Five-Year Deal
The Tigers are thrilled to confirm that half-back Jenson Windley has committed his long-term future to the club by signing a new five-year contract.
A proud product of the Tigers’ youth development system, 18-year-old Windley began his rugby journey with West Hull ARLFC, before joining the Tigers’ Scholarship programme. His progression through the Academy and Reserves stands as a testament to the club’s development pathway and its productive conveyor belt of emerging home-grown talent.
Windley made his first team debut on 23rd August 2024 in a Betfred Super League clash against Warrington Wolves, marking a significant milestone in his career, and went on to play in five Super League appearances, including a Man-of-the-Match, and scoring his first try in his second appearance at Hull FC.
This season, the promising half-back gained valuable experience during a loan spell at Sheffield Eagles in the Championship, where he made an immediate impact by scoring on debut.
Jenson spoke today about the news: “It’s special to be fair, when I was a young kid and rugby being my life, they give me a shot at Cas and they have been good ever since, being at the club and making my debut last year was a special moment. The fans have been good I’ll try and give my all on the pitch and in training.”
Director of Rugby Chris Chester said: “I’m delighted to get an extension sorted for Jenson. He is a young talent who has a bright future in the game.
Jenson has already experienced First Team rugby at the Tigers and had a brief spell at Sheffield Eagles to gain more valuable game time.
I’m looking forward to working with Jenson over the next 5 years and I’m sure he’ll be a regular in the Castleford side for years to come.”
Everyone at the club is excited to see Jenson continue his development and contribute to the Tigers’ future success.
