Tigers Host Successful PDRL Festival

Castleford Tigers proudly hosted their first Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) Festival over the weekend, marking a significant milestone in the Rugby Football League’s (RFL) inspirational community programme.
PDRL is a full contact version of the game adapted for participants with a physical disability who want to access a running version of Rugby League.
Held at Fryston Warriors, the event brought together PDRL teams from across the rugby league community —including the Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, Hull FC, Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos, Salford Red Devils, Sheffield Eagles, Wakefield Trinity, Warrington Wolves, Wigan Warriors, and York City Knights- with the overriding emphasis on domestic playing, offering and creating a fun opportunity to make lasting memories and allow people with a wide range of impairments to benefit from all social impact aspects of RL.
The Tigers PDRL team received fantastic support from Betfred Super League First Team players Rowan Milnes, Jenson Windley, and Daniel Sarbah, who were on hand to cheer on and interact with the squad during their fixtures against Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos. Their presence brought a real boost to the team, highlighting the unity across all levels of the club.
We extend our sincere thanks to Fryston Warriors for their incredible support in making the event a success. Your generosity in providing the venue and multiple fields throughout the day truly helped create an environment of interaction, growth, and friendship through the game. It was a fantastic day, and we couldn't have done it without your partnership!
