BEKFABS back the Fords

In 2023 Castleford Tigers are delighted to announce that local metal fabrications company BEKFABS will be partners with the Club and will be the player sponsor of star recruit Gareth Widdop

Based in Pontefract, BEKFABS have been fabricating, welding and manufacturing for over 20 years in some form or other. Started working with simple street furniture back in the 1990s the firm has become an expert in all metal craft.

Over the years, the local firm has advanced through working on stage and performance exhibitions and one-off bespoke handrails, gates & fences, to supplying and installing structural contract projects and managing teams of welders to coordinate onsite installation while delivering results to strict timescales.

Dave Beckett, Managing Director of BEKFABS spoke of the firm’s excitement at linking up and sponsoring their local Super League club.

“My dad Terry, mum Cynthia, Steve, brother Rick and Grandfather Ron are all lifelong Castleford supporters, so this partnership is a great business and family achievement!

BEKFABS has previously shown their loyal support to the Tigers in their sponsorship of the 2022 End of Season Awards Night and were Executive Match Sponsors for our clash against Catalans Dragons back in June.

The successful local company has pledged further support for the 2023 season by becoming one of our official club partners, sponsoring one of the biggest names in rugby league too in Gareth Widdop.
