Castleford Tigers will take on Warrington Wolves at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday afternoon, live on BBC Two with a 5pm kick-off.

Successful ballot applicants will have been sent their tickets to attend the Betfred Challenge Cup triple-header at Leigh in the post this week. For those supporters, please make note of all the key matchday information.

The Fords Head Coach has made four changes to the squad he declared for last week’s match against Leeds Rhinos with Danny Richardson, George Griffin, Greg Eden, and Lewis Peachey making way for Niall Evalds, Adam Milner, Alex Foster, and Gareth O’Brien. It marks the first time in the 2021 season that Foster has been named in a 21-man squad for Castleford after suffering an injury in the Club’s sole pre-season friendly.

Both the Tigers and the Wolves are now 80 minutes away from reaching the Challenge Cup Final and getting to play at Wembley stadium. Castleford’s last visit to the national stadium was back in 2014, and Saturday’s semi-final presents a chance to return to that famous turf.

In 2021 the head-to-head score between Cas and Wire is tied, back in Round One of Super League, Castleford started the season in style with a strong win over Steve Price’s side 21-12 at Emerald Headingley Stadium. Then a fortnight ago, in front of 4,000 Wolves supporters, Warrington claimed a 38-14 victory over a depleted Tigers team.

With this third meeting of the season the most important, it sets the stage for a mouth-watering final four tie between Castleford and Warrington.
