One of our new kit sponsors this season are Yorkshire Flight Simulator LTD. We caught up with Jason Meadows from the company to learn more about them.

Q – Tell us about your business, the history of it and when it was set up?

A - We set up 4 years ago starting up in Horbury at Wakefield. I have been a Pilot for 16 years and did a lot of instructing on Boeing 737 simulators at Manchester that gave me the idea to build my own and set my own business up in Yorkshire.

We operate a US F-16 Fighting Falcon fight jet and a Cessna 172 most mass-produced light aircraft in the world. We do flight experience sessions on both simulators as well as pilot training on our Cessna sim.

All simulators are full size cockpits with fully working instruments and flying controls with full 180-degree seamless screens from floor to ceiling with the outside view on to give customers the full immersive experience.

We offer Flight experiences on the F-16 fighter jet or Cessna 172 light aircraft sim. We can do day night flying through to fully combat aircraft carrier landings and much more.

Q – How has the ongoing pandemic impacted your business?

A - The pandemic has forced us to close as social distancing is impossible to achieve. We are having to re book all our current appointments in for later in the year which will probably have an effect on next year’s vouchers as we may not get all sessions completed by then. Hopefully we will fingers crossed.

Q - How can people/customers get in touch?

A - We have our website where vouchers can be purchased a lot with our contact number and email. We are also on Facebook as well.

Q - How long have you followed rugby league and what made you interested in women’s rugby league?

A - My wife has watched rugby for 35 years and that's how I started watching it. My wife played rugby in one of the first rugby league teams at Red Hill at Castleford so has always been interested in women’s rugby.

Q – Your 2020 season prediction for Cas Tigers Women? (When it eventually goes ahead!)

A - We think with the dedication and commitment from them all, I believe that this year they will be stronger and more mentally focused in big games and some really good signings on board this year.
