Tigers & Hannafin Contractors launch Community Hero Awards

The awards aim to recognise and reward people across the region that have made a significant difference in their local community. It could be a friend, family member, doctor, nurse, teacher, delivery driver, parent or child. To make a nomination, simply tell us what makes this person stand out as going the extra mile for their community.

The Fords and Hannafin will select four winners over the coming weeks and share their stories on the Castleford Tigers website and social media channels. They will also receive, courtesy of Hannafin, hospitality to a match at The Jungle in the future, a signed shirt and a message from a Castleford player.

TO ENTER: Fans need to email media@castigers.com with the nominee’s name and up to 100 words on what makes this person stand out as a Community Hero. Please ensure you include a contact telephone number too.

Simon Fox, Castleford Tigers Foundation Community Director said: “This is a magnificent gesture by our partners Hannafin and shows a real commitment to supporting those people who are going above and beyond at an extraordinarily challenging point in history. ‘Community Heroes’ offers us a chance as a club to say a genuine thank you to those people and welcome them to the ever-growing Tigers family.”

Ciaran Considine, Head of Business Development at Hannafin Contractors, added: “Having Castleford Tigers support us with our Community Hero Awards really does help to amplify the message so that we can attract more nominees and give even greater profile to our very worthy eventual winners.”

 Hannafin are also running the same project with Premiership rugby union side Wasps based in Coventry, of whom Hannafin also embrace as a club partner.
