After growing his hair for over two-and-a-half years Alex will be cutting it to make a hair donation to The Little Princess Trust who provide free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

Since 2016 the Trust also fund academics and organizations involved in researching the causes of pediatric cancer. 50% of the money raised will go with Alex’s hair donation to The Little Princess Trust.

Half of the money donated to Fozzy’s fundraiser will go to the club’s official charity partner The Prince of Wales Hospice who are based in Pontefract and offer care for patients with life-limiting diseases. Over the years Castleford Tigers players and staff have seen first-hand the outstanding work that the Hospice do.

Speaking about the cut Alex said: “My fantastic, luscious, long, beautiful hair, that I’ve been growing for over two and a half years, is going to be cut and my aim is to raise money for two amazing charities and make a hair donation for a real hair wig to be made too.

“As well as that, all the players and I have been fortunate enough to see the incredible people who work so hard at the Hospice and we’ve seen how they inspire people on a daily basis.

“Please donate whatever you can, as little or as much, whatever it is I’d be truly honoured for your donation and it will all help me trying to reach my target of £1,200. Thank you very much.”

Alex’s long locks of hair will be cut on Wednesday, 18th March and in advance of the event we’re asking for donations to be made to his fundraising page which has been setup on Virgin Money Giving.

Please donate what you can and help raise funds for two fantastic charities.
