Squad named for Wolves away

Daryl Powell has named his 21-man squad for Castleford Tigers match against Warrington Wolves on Friday night.

The Tigers are on the road again this week travelling to the Halliwell Jones Stadium and will be looking to make it three wins in a row in their Round Six match of Betfred Super League 2020, following victories over Wakefield and Hull KR in the last fortnight.

Alex Foster has been named in the 21-man squad for the first time in 2020, it also marks his return to match day selection since suffering a knee injury back in March 2019 which ended his season and required surgery. Liam Watts misses out due to a finger ligament injury sustained in last week’s fixture but could be back in line for next week’s home game against St Helens.

Last time Castleford visited the Halliwell Jones Stadium was back in September and Daryl Powell masterminded a crucial 12-14 victory to keep the Tigers in the hunt for the play-offs and ending Warrington’s season on their own home turf.

Encounters between the Tigers and the Wolves in recent years have been enthralling and this one looks set to be another cracker. Tickets are on sale now in our retail stores at Carlton Lanes and Xscape, or purchase your tickets anytime, online on our club website.
