Five things to look forward to on Friday

See what awaits at the Jungle ahead of the Tigers' big clash against Wigan under the lights.

1.    First home game!
What better reason to get down to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle, than to back the Tigers in what will be their first Super League home game of 2020. They will face a Wigan side who looked impressive in their opening win over Warrington but the Tigers shouldn’t have to look far for motivation, having turned around a 20 point deficit against Wigan last year to run out 38-28 winners in one of last year’s games of the season. Could you imagine missing out on a repeat of that!?

2.    Tigers on the hunt
After starting with a big win against the Toronto Wolfpack, Friday is a great opportunity to make a strong start to the season with back-to-back victories and have the team sitting near the top of the table after the first couple of rounds. The Tigers may be slightly hamstrung by a number of injuries, but with a deep squad and the backing of the ‘Fords faithful, a top-of-the-table place is there for the taking.

3.    Support the community!
The focus won’t just be on the players, Friday also marks our first community club takeover of the year! Over 70 junior Brotherton Bulldogs’ players will be our special guests and cheering on the Tigers throughout the night by waving flags and being player mascots. Be sure to cheer them on too!

4.   Opportunity for young talent
Dynamic duo Danny Richardson and Jake Trueman will again team up in the halves after strong performances in round 1 as they form one of Super League’s most exciting partnerships. They won’t be the only young talent keen to impress, with five Tigers including Robbie Story and Sam Hall seeking to make their first team debuts on Friday night.
