Castleford Tigers are pleased to announce that GMB Union will continue their partnership with the club as they renew for a 17th straight season!
The local GMB Union has become a long-standing partner at the club and offer a terrific service for people in the Castleford area and beyond including many of our first team players and head coach Daryl Powell.
Steve Jennings, Senior Organiser of GMB, said: “We are extremely proud of our sponsorship of Castleford Tigers, which has now been in place for over a decade and a half.
“The Tigers” values of being a family friendly and inclusive club, which is run with pride and passion for its supporters and dedication to the community, are shared by GMB: that's what makes this partnership so unique.
"Our sole responsibility is to improve the pay and conditions of GMB members in their workplaces and the best way for us to do that is to increase the number of GMB members in order to strengthen the Union's influence. The GMB are the recognised union at RFL and club level. Our continued support of the Tigers not only enables the club to progress but it also allows us to maintain a level of exposure on a regional and national level helping us to achieve our goal."
Commenting on the long-time partnership with GMB Union, Castleford Tigers Commercial Manager Craig Jeffels said: “I am delighted to announce that GMB Union have renewed their partnership with the club for the 17th consecutive season.
“Year on year, the partnership has gone from strength to strength and as a company who share the same values as ourselves, it is a pleasure to be working alongside them again in 2020.
“The commitment and loyalty GMB Union have shown over the past 17 years to the Tigers is unrivalled, and on behalf of everyone at Castleford Tigers, I would like to thank Steve Jennings and his GMB team for their continued investment and support.”
