Castleford Tigers will open their 2020 campaign against the newly promoted Toronto Wolfpack, in their first match in Super League, it will be part of an opening weekend double header at Emerald Headingley Stadium on Sunday, 2nd February (KO: 2.30pm). Castleford take on the Canadian side before Leeds Rhinos host Hull FC in the second match of the day, it marks the start of an exciting opening month for the Fords.

In Round 2 Daryl Powell’s men will welcome Wigan Warriors on Friday, 7th February (KO: 7.45pm), it promises to be an electric night at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle for the first league home game of the year. The Tigers will then travel to the Stade Gilbert Brutus to take on Catalans Dragons on Saturday 15th February (KO: 6pm) before the old rivals Wakefield Trinity visit the Jungle for the bragging rights of the local derby on Friday, 21st February (KO: 7.45pm).

Rather than having the traditional two matches over the Easter weekend in 2020 there will be just one Super League game for each club with player welfare at the heart of the decision, Castleford Tigers will host Huddersfield Giants on Sunday 12th April (KO: 3pm).

Back by popular demand Magic Weekend returns to Newcastle and Castleford kick-off the rugby league festival against Catalans Dragons on Saturday, 23rd May (KO: 3pm).

The regular season will finish for the Fords on Friday, 11th September (KO: 7.45pm) with a home match against Huddersfield Giants. At the end of the regular season the bottom team in the table will be relegated, whilst the top five sides enter the Play-Offs to continue the competition to become Super League champions.

Due to a large number of fixture changes in the second half of the season in recent years Castleford Tigers have worked with Super League and come up with a home fixture list that will not have any home fixtures changed in the first 21 rounds of the competition, furthermore there will be no more than one or two changes following Round 21. Should any changes occur in the later part of the regular season the match would then be moved forward 24 hours from an expected Friday night to a Thursday night kick-off.

We hope that these fixtures will give our Tigers supporters more certainty in the fixture list and will allow fans the opportunity to plan for what promises to be an exciting 2020 season. Join us at the Jungle, get your 2020 Season Ticket online now!
