Jasmine Cudjoe returned to the women’s team half way through the season following a twelve month lay-off with injuries.
The player was involved in a car accident which temporarily halted her rugby career.
Nevertheless, the 20-year-old has returned and admits she is fitter, faster and a lot more stronger than last season.
We sat down with the player for a Q&A which you will be able to read in the upcoming October edition of the ROAR magazine.
Cudjoe also talked about the upcoming semi-final clash with Wigan Warriors and said: “It’s going to be absolutely massive!
“We’ve already played them at home so to be able to play them again and knowing that if we do win we’ll get to a final, it’s just going to be a massive game for everyone. I know we’ll have a big fan base supporting us at that game. It will be really good.”
When asked about the Castleford supporters, Cudjoe revealed they make a significant difference.
She said: “It’s massive, I think that’s what has boosted us. Knowing that we’ve got that massive support we know we have to play well because they’re paying to watch us play. You want to impress them and thank them for coming to watch.”
Cudjoe also talks in depth about the progress that women’s rugby league has made. With regards to the Grand Final being shown on Sky Sports she said: “Amazing! When we found out we were so shocked but it’s a great step forward for women’s rugby. We’re all so happy with the progress that this sport is making.”
