Kieron Lawton joins Castleford Tigers under 19s

The 16-year-old arrives at the Jungle on a loan deal from League One side Doncaster.
Lawton previously played for Castleford’s scholarship side and is no stranger to Wheldon Road.
The outside back is set to stay with the U19s side for the remainder of the season.
Head of Youth Performance, Darren Higgins, believes Lawton can bring a lot to the team.
He said: “We currently have a high number of injuries within our under 19s squad. This signing will not only benefit us but provide the player with some valuable game time.
“Exposure to playing at under 19s academy level will benefit Kieron from a player development perspective. What’s more, he will be able to hit the ground running having previously spent time on our scholarship programme.
“We would like to thank Doncaster for their help and hopefully they will see the benefits when Kieron returns at the end of the loan.”
