Tigers expecting large walk up

A crowd approaching 9,000 is expected at the game with a good following from Leeds and indications suggest there will be a large section of supporters turning up to the game without an advance ticket.

The club wishes to stress that a ticket will NOT be required for the game, there will be plenty of availability for home and away supporters on the turnstiles.

However, given the amount of fans expected to pay on the day, the club will be opening the turnstiles on the training pitch side of the ground 15 minutes early from 6pm and are asking fans to arrive earlier than usual where possible to avoid congestion at the gates.

An additional adult cash turnstile will also be added to the Wheldon Road end but adults and concessions arriving together and wanting to pay cash are asked to enter via the training pitch turnstiles.

Leeds fans are encouraged to enter via the Princess Street turnstiles and can also pay on the gate.

The game will also be held in honour of The Prince of Wales Hospice. The club’s official charity partner in Pontefract is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and offers care for patients in the local area with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic heart and lung disease, relying on raising over £5,000 each day to continue operating, in addition to its funding from the NHS.

With this in mind, the Tigers’ fixture against the Rhinos at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Friday, 5th July will act as a vital fundraiser, with the club setting the target of raising enough money at the match and throughout July to fund The Prince of Wales Hospice for one day.

Supporters can play their part by coming to Friday's match where there will be raffle tickets on sale for the Hospice’s 30th Anniversary Car Raffle. Tickets cost just £1 and will see somebody win a brand-new Fiat 500! This month's ROAR will also be on sale at the game for £2, with £1 from every magazine sold going direct to the hospice.

Tickets for The Clash are on sale at the Tigers Den in Carlton Lanes or the club's superstore in Xscape, as well as online at www.castlefordtigers.com/tickets
