Tigers Name KR Squad

Tigers coach Daryl Powell has made one change to his 19-man squad to face Hull KR.
Castleford Tigers will face Hull KR at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Friday 1st March (KO:7:45pm) for the Roger Millward Trophy.
After a 40-6 win over London Broncos last week, Powell has only made one change to the 19-man squad that travelled to the capital. Adam Milner’s injury is not as bad as first feared but the game against the Robins has come too soon and sees the England international in the stands this week. Youngster Lewis Peachey takes his place in the squad and could be in line to make his Tigers debut.
Cory Aston and Jacques O’Neill also retain their place in the 19-man squad with Powell confirming that one on Aston, O’Neill or Peachey will make their Tigers first team debuts this week.
Talking about the new injuries and opportunities for youngsters, Powell said: “It’s positive news for Adam, not for this week but on the whole. He’s sore and he’s had a fair bit of treatment but there is no break which when I first saw his reaction I thought there was going to be a serious injury in there. He’s in a fair bit of pain but he will probably be available next week.
“There will be another opportunity this week for someone to make a debut. We have nobody else to come in from our senior group of players that are missing so we will give an opportunity to a young man who deserves it.”
Tickets are still available from the Tigers Den in Carlton Lanes and the Castleford Tigers Sports Super Store in Xscape Castleford as well as online via our box office here.
