June is busy month here at Castleford Tigers and we have plenty happening to keep you entertained! Here’s a run down so you don’t miss out on anything.
Monday 11 June – Rugby League at the Races – Gates open 4:30pm
Following the success of the events in recent years the Rugby League Evening at Pontefract Racecourse is back and even bigger and better in 2018!
We’re lucky enough to have some fantastic sporting action on our doorstep in West Yorkshire. Not only do we have fantastic rugby league teams we also have first class horse racing at Pontefract Races. On Monday Evening 11th June, you’ll get the best of both worlds as players from Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants, Wakefield Triity and Featherstone Rovers teams will be going racing and mingling with the crowds! If you’re a Tigers Season Ticket holder take your Season Ticket along and you’ll get entrance to the Grandstand & Paddock for just £5!
Tuesday 12 June – Meet Our Senior Players - 7:45pm
Castleford Tigers Supporters Club will host a Q&A evening with a selection of our senior players right here at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle. Come along and have your questions ready! Entry is £1 for CTSC members and £3 for non members.
Friday 15 June – The Damned United play tour – doors open 6:30pm
Following on from the successful showing of 'Playing The Joker' here at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle in March, Castleford Tigers are delighted to welcome the Red Ladder Theatre Company back to the Jungle, this time to bring the successful tour of the play 'The Damned United'. All tickets are just £5 when purchased before the day. Find out more here.
Sun 17 June – Tigers v Hull KR - Father’s Day home game
Our next home game will be action packed! Not only will we take on Hull KR here at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle at 3:30pm we’ve also got plenty more fun to keep all the family entertained on Father’s Day.
From 1:00pm till 3:00pm you’ll want to get yourselves out onto the training pitch here at the stadium. It’s the annual State of Mind Super League take over weekend, so come along and meet the State of Mind volunteers and the ManVan. The ManVan is a unique travelling interactive exhibition that tackles men’s health issues. Driven in partnership between RL Cares and Movember, the ManVan offers Rugby League fans the chance to get involved in fun and interesting activities designed to get men engaging with their health. You’ll also find plenty of FREE activities to keep the whole family entertained including fun fair rides, a circus skills workshop and face painting. To enjoy any of the free activities on the day simply show your match ticket or Season Ticket.
The Betfred Super League clash vs Hull KR will then kick off at 3:30pm. Make sure you stick around after the final whistle too as Castleford Tigers Women’s team will take over the Mend-A-Hose Jungle taking on St Helens in their Women’s Super League clash.

Friday 22 June – Tigers v Warriors
This match was due to be played on Sunday 18 March but had to be postponed due to adverse weather conditions. This match will now take place on Friday 22 June at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle with a 7:45pm kick off.
All match tickets already issued for the old date can be used on the new date. Tickets are available to purchase from our retail stores in Xscape and Carlton Lanes, and online here, and as always, you’ll get the best price if you pre-purchase before game day.
Saturday 23 June – Origin Legends - Yorkshire v Lancashire – War of the Roses
Following on from the success of the inaugural Origin Legends War of the Roses clash last August, Yorkshire and Lancashire will renew their rivalry on Saturday 23 June at Castleford’s Mend-A-Hose Jungle in a benefit game for Michael Shenton and Adrian Morley.
It promises be a fantastic day of Rugby League with the National League Conference War of the Roses taking place first at 3pm as the NCL’s best players face off from both sides of the Pennines.
Doors to the event will open at 2pm, with a junior Rugby League festival also taking place before the Origin Legends showdown kicks off at 7pm - in what is expected to be another bumper crowd.
Not only this, following the legends match the England vs New Zealand Test from Denver will be shown live on the big screen at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle for fans to watch.
Tickets for the full event are priced at just £10 adults, £5 juniors. Tickets can be purchased online here and either printed at home or shown on your mobile phone on the turnstiles on arrival. Subject to availability tickets will be available on the gate on the day priced at £15 for adults and £10 for juniors.
