Jon Wells has issued to message to Castleford Tigers fans.
“Everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the mouth. Well today we wake up with a swollen lip and two black eyes.”
“Yesterday was obviously a disappointing result particularly coming home from Magic Weekend in Newcastle with a real buzz about the team and the town again.”
“All our staff and players would like to reiterate our thanks for your continued and unwavering support and rest assured there are some serious questions being asked and answered this weekend following our most recent loss against St Helens.”
“Mental strength is a phrase often banded around in professional sport. My idea of mental strength and when you see whether an individual or a team have it, is not when we are riding high full of confidence picking up win after win, it’s in the days following a loss like last night, and how we pick ourselves up and move forward.”
“I firmly believe that this team is mentally strong and we as a football department fully expect an emphatic response next week, I hope you do too.”
“Thanks again and stay behind the boys.” Jon Wells – Director of Rugby
