Hull KR away fixture

Posted: Friday 25th May 2018 - 2:04 PM

The match was originally due to be played on Thursday 1st March but had to be postponed due to adverse weather conditions and a new date of Wednesday 13th June had been arranged. This would have seen both clubs play each other twice in the same week with the home fixture taking place on Sunday 17 June.

Now both clubs have been knocked out of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup the decision has been made to move the away game to Friday 1 June at 8:00pm at KCOM Craven Park.

Speaking today Tigers head coach Daryl Powell said: “Playing two games in a week is never ideal for any club and for ourselves and Hull KR to have the opportunity to move their fixture to the Challenge Cup Quarter Final weekend was an opportunity we just had to take, in the interest of player welfare and for both clubs to play the best quality Rugby League on the day.”
