Castleford Tigers wingers Jy Hitchcox & Kieran Gill have begun month loans in Betfred League 1.
Jy Hitchcox has signed an initial one month loan with Bradford Bulls, with an option to extend.
Speaking today Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell said: “Jy needs some game time after a recent injury and Bradford is an ideal chance for him to play at the moment. We will obviously monitor his progress during this time,”
Powell added: “ Whilst Jy is on loan we have both Garry Lo and Tuoyo Egodo pushing for a place in our starting team and look forward to Jy putting pressure on to return and press for a place in the team.”
Kieran Gill has also begun a month long loan with Oldham Roughyeds.
Gill suffered a serious knee injury while scoring a try in his Super League debut with the Tigers last June. A full knee construction followed, and the winger has spent the last 10 months recovering. Now fully fit Kieran is ready for some vital game time.
Tigers head coach Daryl Powell said: “Kieran has had the toughest of injuries and he has worked hard to get himself in great shape. He has an opportunity now to play consistently at Oldham and I’m looking forward to seeing him back on the field and catching my eye.”
The Tigers are back in action this Sunday when they take on Catalans Dragons at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle. Click here for ticketing details.
