Trueman Signs Contract Extension

Jake Trueman has today signed a new three-year contract that will keep him at the Tigers until the end of 2020.
The 19-year-old burst on the scene during his first Super League start as he scored a hat-trick away at Wigan Warriors in September.
Trueman joined the Tigers at the start of 2017 from Bradford Bulls following their financial troubles. Trueman came off the bench against St Helens in round 17 to make his Tigers debut after impressing in Castleford’s Under 19s squad.
During his year with the Under 19s, he helped guide them to the Academy Grand Final where on the same field he’d score a first team hat-trick just two weeks later.
Trueman is really pleased with how his time at Castleford has gone so far and he's looking forward to his future with the club: “I’m very happy to have the next three years sorted out here at Castleford. I believe that this is the club that I will develop the most at. I’m looking to play as many games as I can in 2018 as I look to put pressure on the two starting halves.”
Tigers head coach Daryl Powell is delighted with the news: “I’m really happy that Jake has decided to extend his stay with us. He’s shown, in particular, against Wigan, that he has a tonne of potential. He is a mature Rugby League player for his age and we think there is a lot more to come from him. I think he is the most promising half back in the English game!”
Castleford Tigers now have their sights now firmly set on the 2018 season as pre season training continues. Season Tickets are now available to purchase. Click here to find out more.
